Mandate:
The Calgary Film Centre Ltd. is a controlled corporation of Calgary Economic Development Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of The City) and related authority to The City, established to support the growth and development of the film, television, media, and other creative industries.

Vision:
The Calgary Film Centre aims to be recognized as the location of choice for screen production globally by growing its reputation through exceptional facilities, services and screen content production support and expertise.

Mission:
To become a centre of innovation and excellence in the creative and digital media industries, consolidating leading edge activity while driving project production in the Calgary Film Centre and sector acceleration in Alberta.

Authority  Description Decision
1. 2018 June Council approved the transfer of ownership of the Calgary Film Centre facility to The City.
2. 2018 October 22, Organizational Meeting To support accountability and oversight, The City, Calgary Economic Development Ltd. and Calgary Film Centre Ltd. agree that The City may appoint up to two members to Calgary Film Centre Ltd.'s Board of Directors.
